Programming labs where students learn to debug.
Less time on setup, less copying from generic AI, and more students who understand their own code. Here's what ScriptOnX delivers today, and what's planned.
What changes in your lab. Marked by what exists today.
Setup problems found early
Learning environments check that the compilers and tools a course needs are installed and working. One-click installs are in testing.
Students who can debug
Every failed run can be explained: what went wrong, why, and the concept behind it. Students learn to read errors, not fear them.
Programming and databases, one tool
The same workspace covers programming courses and SQL in Database Lab.
AI that respects academic integrity
AI help explains first, and suggested fixes must be reviewed and applied by the student. Faculty-set limits are planned.
Faculty who see the struggle early
Class-wide signals about where students are stuck, while there's still time to help.
Managed across departments
Labs, cohorts and institution-level reporting, managed in one place.

Help that builds understanding. Not dependence.
Teaches before it solves
The AI Tutor is instructed to focus on teaching, not just giving answers: what happened, why, and the concept behind it.
Honest about where answers come from
Every answer is labelled with its source: a built-in offline rule, or the AI provider and model. Error explanations also show a confidence level.
Never pretends code ran
Results come from real runs. The AI is instructed never to claim a program succeeded, and Dry Run is a step-by-step walkthrough, not an execution.
Asks before sending code
AI providers are off until switched on in Settings, and the learner must consent before code, errors or queries are sent to one.
Learners approve every change
Suggested fixes appear beside the original code. Nothing in the editor changes until the learner applies it.
Faculty decide the level of help
Per-course and per-exercise assistance levels, from Explain to Solve, set by faculty.
